Just a very quick update to let you know that we arrived in China, and are now in the beautiful Park Plaza hotel in Beijing! The photo is from our hotel room, and if you look close in the lower left corner you'll see a portion of a familiar green sign--that we will be visiting immediately in the morning :-)
The plane ride was long, but the backpacks were well stocked with activities and we all arrived tired and ready for bed! Kind of strange to miss a whole day (left Sunday noon, got here 7pm Monday night)! Our guide was there to greet us at the baggage claim area and whisked us away to the hotel. Looking forward to a good night's sleep, and four more packed days in Beijing!

Yay! We are so happy to hear that you arrived safely and that the flight went well. I hope you have a good night's sleep and we look forward to your messages, photos, etc. We decorated the tree last night, and it was quite festive. Anna was in high gear, and she single-handedly unwrapped all of the ornaments and put at least half on the tree. Talk about pumped up! She woke this morning asking if it was Christmas, and she already put a baby Jesus in the manger. Ha.
